Capyweather ("the App," "we," "us") is a simple weather widget developed for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.

Information We Collect
Capyweather requests access to your device's location data (GPS or approximate network-based location) solely to determine your current position and fetch the corresponding local weather forecast. This location data is used only in real time to make a request to our weather data provider and is not linked to your identity, name, or any account, since the App does not require or support account creation.policyforge

How Location Data Is Used and Stored
Your location coordinates are sent directly from your device to Open-Meteo's weather API to retrieve forecast data for that location; this request happens client-side, with no backend server operated by us in between. Data Sharing

Data Retention and Deletion
Since Capyweather has no backend server and no user accounts, we do not retain any of your data on our servers. Any locally cached location or settings data stored on your device can be permanently deleted at any time by clearing the App's data or storage through your device's Android settings, or by uninstalling the App.

Capyweather does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App does not require sign-up, account creation, or the input of any personal identifiers.

Your Choices
You can revoke location permission at any time through your device's Settings, though doing so will limit the App's ability to automatically detect your local weather. Since no account or personal profile exists within the App, there is no stored personal data to request, edit, or export.
